Hey, so my brother Eli suffers from (Type 1 Juvenile Diabetes. Yesterday he had to undergo a 4 hour surgery on his eye because the scarring of his retina was so bad from the diabetes. We managed to get him the best eye surgeon in Washington but if we hadn’t my brother would have been left blind for the rest of his life. Diabetes doesn’t just lead to blindness but it can also lead to amputations of limbs and even death.
