Before you can even consider this next step in your relationship, you both have to realize that condoms are not 100% effective, so worst case scenario, would both of you be able to deal with the consequences? Also, both of you should talk about it before hand, like what are you comfortable with and what you are not. As for the timing, don’t rush into anything, you will know when the timing is right.
