Q: I told a guy I think he's amazing in every way and because he doesn't know me he wasn't even flattered. Do you think people need to know someone to accept a compliment?

In a way yes, because if you make such a grand compliment like “amazing in every way” and yet you don’t even know them, what significance does that hold? I’m not trying to sound mean but if you know even know them in one way, how can they think you compliment is valid?
