Q: Is it better to keep a promise or tell the truth? This isn't life or death, but by telling the truth i would be breaking a promise I made to my one best friends and by keeping the promise i would be lying to my other best friend. But this is NOT a secret that would lead to anything dangerous in their future.
That is really hard. I would say talk to the person you made a promise to and see if it wouldn’t be the end of the world if you did tell the truth, because lying can be very heavy on the conscience. If they aren’t okay with that, I would just say go with your gut. Who are you closer with?
