Okay, this doesn’t sound like a healthy relationship, simply because if you can’t even try to convey how your feeling with him, and then him jumping to conclusions that you didn’t even mean, then it’s not working out. I think he needs to confront these trust issues and problems he has before he can be vulnerable again, and I think the reason why he is accusing you of things even though you haven’t really done anything to insinuate he was in the wrong, is because he is scared. You sound like you really care for him, but a healthy relationship isn’t about walking on eggshells to keep you or him happy, and pretending the problem isn’t there, will never work. I think you need to have a serious conversation with him, addressing all these issues, and be completely honest with how they make you feel
