Q: I'm 18 years old about to turn 19 and my mother still treats me like a child so in turn I act childish; I've asked her to give me some more responsibility around the house but she still nags and gives me a curfew. How should I get the message across that I WANT to grow up and I'm not a child anymore?
Sometimes mothers just don’t want to see us grow up. If you want her to see you as grown up, you need to act grown up… by acting childish just give hers more proof as to not allow you responsibilities… have you tried having a serious conversation with her?
